Privacy, in plain words

No accounts

There are no sign-ups or passwords. When you create or join a meetup, your browser stores a private key that lets you edit your details. We only store a one-way hash of that key.

What we store

• The meetup's name, type of place and time.
• The name you enter, where you're coming from, how you'll travel, your preferences and votes.
• The list of suggested places and travel times we computed.

Who can see your location

Only you can see your exact starting point. Everyone else with the meetup link sees your neighbourhood and a location rounded to about one kilometre.

How long we keep it

Everything about a meetup is deleted automatically 90 days after the meetup date (or after it was created, if it never had a date). Organisers can delete a meetup at any time and participants can remove themselves.

Services we use

Addresses, places and travel times come from Google Maps Platform. Starting points are sent to Google to calculate routes. Maps are Google Maps. Our servers run on Amazon Web Services.

No tracking

We don't use advertising trackers or sell data. The app uses your browser's local storage only to remember your meetups.
